Our background
- Hans + Cathy Vink
- Hello everyone, We are Hans and Cathy Vink, retired dairy farmers from East-Central Ontario, Canada. While we are retired farmers, it is not our desire to be idle and thus volunteer our experience and expertise to areas of the world that are much less fortunate than the average Canadian or North American has ever experienced. We have signed on as Volunteer Advisors with the Canadian Executive Services Organization, a non governmental organization that is funded by the Canadian International Development Agency as well as other supporters and donators. It has been our privilege to work on a pilot dairy project in the Philippines this past March thru May and most recently during September 13 to 21 we hosted 30 Filipinos on a reverse engagement touring parts of South and Eastern Ontario. We are currently preparing for a return engagement beginning on October 20 until at least December 15, 2008. We will be working to enhance the growth of the Philippine dairy industry, in particular in the Province of Isabela, about 400 Kms. north of Manila.
